Note: In order to do this you will be required to have the Professional Plan as the Essentials Plan is unable to do this.
- Go to your cPanel Dashboard.
- Click Addon Domains.
- Enter the New Domain into the New Domain Name box.
- Enter the Subdomain into the Subdomain box.
- Enter your desired directory into the Directory box.
During this process, you can also change what the subdomain will be as well as the directory and whether you would like FTP for the Domain which you can also add later. (The reason why you require a subdomain is this website is also added to your main domain in the form of a subdomain. Although you are required to have one, you do not actually need to use it to access the new domain).
Once submitted your domain should be up and running shortly. Please ensure you have changed the nameservers to the Modern Solutions Hosting Nameservers. You can find the nameservers by going to this article called What are our nameservers?
Of course, you can add files via the directory you entered when adding the Addon Domain. This operates like any other domain/sub-domain.
